Hintonburg, Ottawa's new ‘it’ neighbourhood

Do you want to live in a neighbourhood that’s never boring? Are you looking for a trendy atmosphere and beautiful homes? Hintonburg and the community of Wellington West may be the neighbourhood for you.

Hintonburg has been Ottawa’s up-and-coming neighbourhood for so long, it’s probably more appropriate to simply refer to it as the new ‘it’ area. It’s become a top destination for those of us interested in boutiques, bistros, vegan cafes and coffee shops. At night, many people are attracted to the trendy supper clubs, cocktail bars and brewpubs of the area.

$25 million in area upgrades

Encouraging the revitalization of this trendy neighbourhood the city of Ottawa invested $25-million into upgrades that included double-wide sidewalks, improved access for cyclists, clean roads and additional trees. The result is an area that is highly walkable and both very pedestrian and bicycle-friendly.

A shopping destination

Hintonburg is a great area to walk the streets and poke into all the interesting, independent shops. It seems every few months a unique new store pops up in the area. Here are just a few of many great spots worthy of a visit.

Homes and condos

Hintonburg’s transition over the years has resulted in it becoming a very sought after place to live. We sold out every unit of our previous project in one day. We are currently gearing up to release our newest project, Wellington West Lofts next door and expect a very similar result.

Public Transportation

Hintonburg is surrounded by all the amenities you could ever need, including public transportation. Hintonburg and Wellington West are extremely accessible by both bus and train. The Tunney’s Pasture station quickly connects you by bus to Westboro, Centretown, the Market and beyond. It’s also walking distance to the new Confederation Line, part of the light rail transit expansion plan set to become operational this year.
