Surface Developments continues its unprecedented sales success with its newest condo project Canal Lofts, selling 82% of the development on opening day. The reception to our newest condo has been absolutely incredible. Even company president Jakub Ulak was taken aback by the unbelievable demand, “I expected to see some great results based on the incredible value we are offering with this building and the fact that it is located in such a fantastic location but the feedback we are getting from our clients has been way beyond what we had anticipated”.

Things are really getting going now on the construction of our newest Ottawa condo project EDGE LeBreton Flats. Excavation has been underway for a week and we’ve now finally gotten to one of the most exciting parts – demolition. It’s not every day that you get to see a house taken down with an excavator so we made a little video to show you how quickly one of these awesome machines does the job. Company president Jakub Ulak has the opportunity to drive the excavator and take the first swing at the house. When asked about the experience he offers the obvious answer, “it’s definitely the funnest part of my job”.

Ottawa At Home magazine has taken note of one of our latest condo projects, Hampton Park Lofts, which we recently completed last fall. We’re know in Ottawa for our award winning kitchen designs and we spared no effort on our recent creation. Designed in collaboration with Lorin Russell of Muskoka Cabinet Co., the kitchen creates a dramatic centrepiece for the entire condo suite. It ties seamlessly into an oversized window that brings views directly into the kitchen and expands to encompass an office area. Built-in appliances mean fridges and dishwashers are neatly hidden behind beautiful cherry cabinetry, and a retractable vent hood leaves the space open and airy. Custom pieces such as overhead display nieces with LED lighting and quartz waterfall counters add a custom flair.

We’re located right next to the majestic Lebreton escarpment which will make excavation a little trickier than usual as an enormous amount of rock will have to be excavated.
